Dig. 5,2,4Gaius libro singulari ad legem Glitiam. Non est enim consentiendum parentibus, qui iniuriam adversus liberos suos testamento inducunt: quod plerumque faciunt, maligne circa sanguinem suum inferentes iudicium, novercalibus delenimentis instigationibusve corrupti.
Gaius, On the Lex Glitia. Parents should not be allowed to wrong their children by their wills, since for the most part they do so because they are maliciously prejudiced against their own blood by the flattery and instigation of stepmothers.
